Regattas Lodge No. 9660 held its installation meeting on Friday 17th October 2025 at The Henley Masonic Centre. The new WM, W Bro. Neil Hitchins, was installed in fine style by his predecessor, W Bro. Stuart Rahman-Greasley who was assisted by W. Bro. Hugh Shooter, PProvGSwdB, SLGR.
While the majority of masonic lodges have a strict formal dress code, Regattas from their inception have had permission to wear “Regatta Dress” and as such its members wear blazers (the stripier- the better!) white trousers and rowing club ties, gloves are not worn. As a result, Regattas has a relaxed friendly atmosphere which welcomes a large number of visitors from all over the country and beyond.
Present at the installation was the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W Bro. Paul Buck, PSGD, who was escorted by the Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, W Bro. Jasvinder Jugdev, as well as a number of visitors from London, Surrey and Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The meeting was followed by an excellent festive board.
